Required to join Weight Watchers by my insurance
Friday, March 24, 2017
So I will be starting the Weight Watchers Smart Points program on Sunday. I went to my first meeting and had a weigh in on Thursday. My health insurance is requiring I attend Weight Watchers meetings until my BMI is under 30.
If anyone recalls, I tried Weight Watchers while it was the Points Plus program back in 2012 and gained a bunch of weight. Then they acused me of lying about my tracking and eating habits and it was just a big mess. So I definitely have some baggage when it comes to Weight Watchers.
To make things worse, although I'm basically required to do Weight Watchers, and they pay for the meetings, they do not pay for the e-tools, so I have no access to the website or the app. I couldn't care less about the website but without the app, I don't have access to tracking, searching foods, or the calculator. So I am stuck buying a physical points calculator ($15 I think) and writing things out with paper and pencil and scrambling to find out the points values of things from unofficial websites and calculators unless I want to pay $20 a month for access. Which I don't. :(
