My friend Dr. Edie!

I met Dr. Edie the year she would turn 70, today she is 90. I just finished reading her new book "THE CHOICE Embrace the Possible". I wish I could make it required reading for everyone, especially young people.
Dr. Edie is a holocaust survivor, her story is incredible, she is incredible, I believe you will be incredible and excited after reading her book as you will see what more is available to you in your life, no matter your age or circumstances.
Dr. Edie has changed many a person's life from veteran's, domestic violence survivors, students of all ages, people in all walks of life. I sponsored Dr. Edie to speak to many different groups so I saw first hand the impact she had on people. People would send me notes thanking me for having her and sometimes notes for me to get to Dr. Edie. I am going to quote verbatim from one note, it is just a small part of the note but it says a lot.
"You spoke to me in a way that penetrated straight through to my being. You reached a place inside of me I no longer thought existed. How do I even begin to thank you. You gave me hope when I was filled with despair, you gave me love when I was filled with hate, and most importantly, you gave me the gift of knowing I can love myself for simply being me. Thank God you survived. Thank God you had the strength to overcome adversity, and thank God through all of this, you still had the love and compassion to help other people. Thank God I met you. I now have what I call the "three I's of Edie" : God bless you for your 'INSPIRATION' God bless you for your 'INSIGHT' God bless you for your 'INGENUITY'
God bless you for being you, with all my love and gratitude."
I could go on and on with stories of Dr. Edie, and I wish I could share her with the world. If you read her book please let me know and if you can't afford her book please let me know and maybe I can find a way to get it to you. Dr. Edie has no idea I am writing this as due to circumstances of life we haven't talked in at least 3 years so this is not for book sales. I have already given away at least 30 of her books. I love Sparkpeople and know most would find this book helpful, profound and unforgettable.
