Saturday, June 30, 2018

We must be willing to learn the lesson that cooperation may imply compromise, but if it brings world advance it is a gain for each individual nation. Eleanor Roosevelt

I wish our entire world was more cooperative. It's gotten to be so abrasive with people immediately going to their corner. I am entirely open and respectful of other people's opinions even if they aren't necessarily mine. We all see things from our own perspective and our own life experiences. It's better to try and put yourself in someone else's shoes rather than shove your opinions down their throats...that never helps and they are 99% sure to cling to their own opinions all the stronger. We all came into this world as an unbiased little human...too bad we can't stay that way. emoticon

I'm definitely for compromise when it involves both sides giving up something. I find that too often compromise is all about one-sided sacrifice and that is not compromise. Compromise by definition means that each side is making concessions. One side bullying the other into getting their way is tyranny.
