I actually made it into the 180s by the end of January...and then spent 3 out of the next 4-5 weeks traveling. Eating out for each meal, in situations where a glass of wine or bottle of beer is customary, and slacking on running/walking miles put me almost right back where I started. And my time at home wasn’t much better with eating out for most meals because I haven’t been grocery shopping in weeks.
The good news is it could have been worse. At least I kept up with some running/walking daily, even if not the amount I would have liked. I’ve run three 5ks so far this year and got a little faster at each. I started my marathon training yesterday (with a rest day! Lol) and plan to go check out a nearby yoga studio later this week. I’m only 45ish miles behind where I “should be” to make 2019 miles this year, which is almost nothing to make up over the next 9 months, especially as I start racking up the miles on my long runs.
My goal is to be back into the 180s by the end of this month. Today I was at 197.4, so only 7.5 lbs. to go!
