I too never had a Barbie and I made sure my daughter didn't either! Now my granddaughter also has none but does at the grand old age of almost six has a skateboard, lego and a library full of books. 619 days ago
Beautiful picture! I was given a bunch of Barbies from family friends, and I was transported to another world with them, playing for hours and hours with them, using every inch of my imagination. Barbies are a blessing in this world. 625 days ago
My Aunt Peggy used to sew beautiful gowns for my Barbie dolls. I remember working all one summer to earn money, and at the end I took my $7 and used it all to buy a Skipper doll (Barbie's little sister) - a decision I could tell my Dad didn't agree with! 631 days ago
When in college and living with my Aunt, I bought a Barbie for my younger sister (12 1/2 yr. younger) for Christmas. My Aunt sewed and had a lot of material so I got some patterns and made a shoe box full of cloths for the doll. My sister loved it. 632 days ago
OH my gosh. I have the original Barbie Doll and her glasses and carrying case and the clothes I collected! Sadly, DD was never interested, but I still haven't gotten rid of it! Memories, I guess. I would spend hours dressing Barbie and playing with my best friend, who also had a Barbie. 632 days ago

I never had a barbie. I had baby dolls when I was really young but after about 5 I was an outdoor kid. I still don't know how to play with dolls and the doll house I have for my GD. 632 days ago
