Thats one of many ways to describe major depressive disorder. I have been struggling since Saturday. I hate the sentiment society has of "If you are struggling, reach out". Do you even know how hard that is to do when you are battling with depression or any other mental illness? For me, its nearly impossible
I quit reaching out when a group of "friends" started talking about me behind my back. Then one had the balls to tell me to get over the death of my husband and child. To stop playing the "victim card" its been 10+ years.

People are two faced a$$holes. People that you consider friends *or even family* can be some of the most hurtful & emotionally draining individuals.

Society has this idea of "Oh go to a counselor. Oh go on meds". Hey Einstein, its not that simple. I have military insurance and still cant afford medication & counseling. Thats $250 a month, on a fixed income, yea aint happening. So I had to choose: meds or counseling. I chose meds.

Oh but then society has the idea "Oh, but your medicated, you're good". HA! Wrong again moron!

Even medicated individuals still struggle with their illness. They arent magic pills. A person with diabetes who takes insulin can still have a difficult day by eating something that affects their blood sugar. They arent a cure all pill.

I can't imagine how anyone can get over the death of a husband and child. I would have a nervous breakdown. Sorry to hear about your hardships.
