It's been months

Tuesday, March 31, 2020

Here I am back on this site. Thought I'd give an update of why I wasn't on for so long. My husband and I went out of the country on Feb 5 for a trip of a lifetime we had been planning\booking since Feb 2017. Yes, that long. We flew into Sydney on the 7th and boarded a cruise ship on the 9th. That's when I stopped logging food, etc.; not because I was bad but because I had troubles logging in. I had wifi but anyone who has been on a cruise ship knows how good that is. Anyway, now we are home (since March 14) and safe after flying back into a country with an epidemic in full swing. I think for those 39 days gone, we lived in a bubble. Tom Hanks news hit international news a month after we had visited the area he was in. That might give you an idea of the window we traveled in. Now we are shelter in place in our state and we are trying to live as normal a life as we can. I just finished a walk. ( no gym) Plan to practice yoga today by myself. Some days a small group are doing yoga via speaker phone. I'm trying to eat healthy and find it easier during day than late afternoon to evening. Find myself drinking more tea and coffee but if that keeps me from binge eating, so be it. I've decided to limit grocery shopping to every 2 weeks. Delivery is impossible to do. Everyone wants it done and logistics is horrible. Anyway, that being said, we buy crap foods along with good foods because we are only doing 2x a month. Not great but these are impossible times. I am doing the best that I can and refuse to beat myself up for not doing better. I am not gaining weight. I am trying to build activity in to each day. I am loading up on fruits and veggies.....much are frozen right now but still doing. Anyway, my message to all......love yourself. Do what you can to remain healthy. Don't be hard on yourself if you aren't doing what you were before we heard about the Covid 19......and glad to be back.
