Act Responsibly

Thursday, April 30, 2020

In California, they OPENED some beaches.
People flocked to the beaches, CROWDED each other, didn't follow the clearly stated rules to stay 6 feet from non-household members.
The beaches and all state parks will CLOSE AGAIN May 1.

To restate it simpler:

Things opened
People crowded
Things closed

The path to getting back out of this sooner than later is in your hands. When things re-open, you should seriously consider observing the rules.

For this issue, it is irrelevant if you believe COVID is a lie, or that God will save you, or that you've already had it, or that you can survive it if you get it, or that you don't care whether you get it, or that you want to get it "to get it over with," or that you don't want it, that you don't want to leave your home even if things open, but may have to go to a doctor for a suspicious bump...it really doesn't matter what your beliefs are about COVID-19 (or Sars2 or whatever you wish to call it).

What does matter:

During this time of so much we can't do, know that this is one thing you CAN do. Promise yourself you will act responsibly when given the opportunity. And if you do, you know you won't be hurting the economy, the country, and yourself.

Summary:

If things open
Act responsibly
Things remain open

People and communities who don't use masks are paying the price now.

    Dumb and dumber.

Sounds great to me, good governor. Our idiots do this at Walmart - offer tor beat you to death for wearing a mask.

Good Blog. And I am hoping more education will be offered in the way of good nutrition and health to help educate people how to keep their immune system strong and healthy and of course maybe wearing the masks.

I agree with you. I live in Florida and some places are opening but I have a choice and I choose to stay away from crowds and wear my masks! I really don’t understand some people these days!

Here in WI there are 3 counties that are having issues on the other side of the state and the governor will not open Wisconsin until the whole state is not having issues. I was getting food yesterday and heard the workers talking. Our area is mainly cabins. Since the 'shut down' people from MN have been in and out of their cabins the whole time and we still don't have any cases. It's crazy!

I am glad our governor extended everything through the end of May. While some more businesses will be allowed to open, there are rules in place - the business must supply masks to the workers. Everyone in a public building must wear a mask. State parks are only open for day use hiking, no facilities since those are shared and cannot be kept clean enough.

New case counts continue to rise and there's no telling if that's because people aren't behaving or because we are getting better about testing. I suspect it's a combination of both. When I go from my new house to my old house and back, I stop nowhere else so I am safe enough in my own houses, but there are increasing numbers of cars on the road.

I am in Ontario, Canada. Relatively small number of cases and deaths here, however no plans to open anything. For the foreseeable future. I am happy with that. Let's keep everyone safe. Only a couple of more months I think. We can do it!!!

Apparently we are also starting to re-open in Florida on Monday but not "gung-ho crazy" like Georgia. Our retirement community will remain no visitors, wear face masks, etc. Even the military facilities are now requiring face masks for entry - thank goodness! We, personally, will tread carefully if for no other reason than to protect our fellow residents who are (mostly) a decade or two or three older than us.

Our governor of my state is starting to open things too. Detroit is still experiencing massive deaths and new cases😣. God help us all 🙏
