In the Days of Mayberry, and Andy....

Monday, May 04, 2020

I was on SP 2010-2016, then through no fault of "life" I had to deal with other issues. You see, I am one of those people that always seemed to put EVERYBODY FIRST...well, that has changed too.

My Dad passed away January 1959, at the age of 47, and I was only 8 years old. He was my "ROCK" although I was to young to realize it then, now I know.
My Mom passed away 2012 at the "nearly YOUNG, OLD AGE of 95." She did fine, and I will always love her, but yes, I was her "whipping post" many of times. Growing up in the 50's & 60's, it was WORK, WORK, WORK, not fun, not out with friends, and so on. So I get it!

Now, I will be 70 years old, this September 12 and have come a long way baby!!! Happily married, mother of one daughter, that I raised as a single Mom for 13 years. "Mimi" to three grandchildren, and PROUD of WHO I AM!!!

Over the last year and 1/2, as I stated before, I have undergone Breast & Lymph node cancer, radiation, and six surgeries, with my latest, and hopefully my last, March 4, 2020. With every step to move forward, the doctors found another issue that needed to be addressed. What I LOVE about my doctors? They stated to me, "Fran, isn't it time for YOU!"
WOW!!! A reality slap, if I ever needed one, and apparently did! So yes, I got them done, "mended pretty well" for an old gal, and now with the "WORLD'S Craziness" have managed to keep busy, keep active, albeit a little at a time, but MOVING FORWARD. WooHoo!

So I want you all to take a look in that mirror, be PROUD of WHO YOU ARE! This is a time, we need to think ahead! Take One Step, One Tweak at a time, to see if you can make a difference. It might be slow, but remember, SLOW AND STEADY can win the race! The race against time.....don't waste it, put YOU to GOOD USE!!!! And remember be PROUD, PROUD, PROUD!!!!

I am proud of you too; and going through all the things you have endured: you deserve emoticon a gold crown. I am sorry to hear you had breast cancer, and went through all that, but sounds like you are doing well now? ... (I was my mothers' whipping post too---she made it abundantly clear she did not a GIRL ... loved her two boys in a strange way, but I paid the price for being born without a you know what. lol ..... I wrote about my life as a kid, in my memoir .... but best thing was overcoming rather than being overcome. And looks like you got up too and kept going. I am proud of you!
