8 weeks getting ready for week 9 with no end in sight

Saturday, May 09, 2020

This blog entry is not meant to complain. Just having troubles. Eating has been crap and longer than 8 weeks because we came back from 39 days on a cruise to quarantine and shelter in place. Some things I've learned. I need my gym and yoga classes but have developed a long habit of exercise that I find ways. I was fortunate to have a yoga teacher from my studio to start up a small class on speaker phone Monday through Friday. Helps me stay grounded. Hearing familiar voices is wonderful too. I've tried doing yoga on weekends on own, and that's working out well. Walking in neighborhood is doable here and able to keep distance if anyone comes by. Weather hasn't been cooperative but this too shall pass. The gym? Just found out my gym just filed bankruptcy. I'll have to rethink this when things start opening up again. Things won't be normal regardless.I had a trainer for about 4 years. Well, have weights and trying to do at home. I think I may google good plans online too. Now, for the eating. I was lax during trip but not bad. However, carbs...sugar....it's gotten out of hand. Mainly because old strategies aren't possible. I don't live alone so the stuff is there. We have to buy monthly so we overstock. I will work this out but interested in strategies others are using for exercise and healthy eating.

I have the same problem and going back to using my food diary and weighing and measuring portion size. Go back to macro basics and no good snacking happens after 8pm. lol

I stick to a routine as much as possible. Workout in morning and early evening during the week, longer morning workout on the weekend. I use YouTube videos and have an elliptical and a few weights. As far as nutrition i track everything.

I feel you! We are having our kitchen renovated and don’t have use of any appliances but refrigerator. My plan has been a smoothie in the morning, then exercise for an hour or two, lunch is a sandwich and then dinner we order out.
