Do You Remember June 20, 1975?
Monday, July 27, 2020
The date was June 20, 1975. If you were alive then, do you remember what you were doing? It so happens I do. That was the day Steven Spielberg’s movie Jaws previewed in theaters everywhere! In the opening scene, a beautiful woman glides gracefully through the water, beneath the soft moonlight, unaware of the dangers below. Suspenseful music captivated the audience as they clung to their seats!
In a flash, the woman was attacked by a Great white with a voracious appetite and rows of razor-sharp teeth! It was chilling …💦.....and unforgettable!
My mind is a memory bank for days gone by.
Once they are gone, they are gone forever, save for the memories.
In 1962, while living with my aunt and uncle I said on a Monday how I wish it were Friday. Wisdom answered when she looked in my eyes and said, “Why do you want to wish your life away? It will go fast enough by itself!”
My Aunt has been gone over twenty years, but her words live on.
The other day I was at the grocery store, checking out and the clerk said, “I like to stay busy. It makes the time go faster.” I wonder why the hurry. Will things be better then than now? Is Friday a day to celebrate life more than the other six days?
Thanks for stopping by! I wish for you a joyous day.....
