Final Ten Minute Do-it for August
Saturday, August 22, 2020
I'm hoping to take some of this 'Do-it' into September because the new school term looks set to bring its own bundle of demands....
This Ten Minutes is dedicated to self-care and is basically about taking tiny pockets of time to promote health and lessen stress. I've broken the 'Ten' into small tasks.
Five for the Morning - Take 2 minutes after you clean your teeth to cleanse your tongue, rinse and swish with whatever wash or oil you use. Then take 3 mins to briskly self massage top to toes. This will help unblock toxins and increase energy and blood flow.
One for Mid-day - Take a minute to sip a glass of warm, previously boiled water with a hint of flavor of choice (No, not gin.) to flush toxins.
Four for Bedtime - 1 minute for gentle facial and forehead massage with a product with a relaxing aroma; followed by 1 minute gently massaging the belly clockwise to aid digestion (unless not advised). Finish the day with 2 minutes of deep relaxing breathing. Keep negative thought at bay with a healing phrase of choice or try to empty the mind completely.
There you have my Ten Minute Do-it to, hopefully, become a habit.
You could, of course, substitute 10 minutes vigorously attacking a cleaning chore or line up your sock drawer in the colors of the spectrum. I'm going for the TLC.
