Habits
According to SparkPeople, I’ve logged in here 3,000 days in a row. I really am a creature of habit. Every morning I log in and find a picture and a quote to post. I log my food from the previous day, visit my friend feed and read some articles. It’s not difficult for me.
I’ve been working from home since mid-March. It was a big disruption in my weekday habits, but I’ve adapted. There’s no commute for me, so I start work a little earlier. I don’t walk as much during the day so I’ve made it a point to eat less. I really miss my friends and co-workers at the office. We still connect online, but it’s not the same. I haven’t come up with a satisfying way to replace that human contact. I was disappointed to learn there won’t be a return to the office this year. I know I’m blessed to still have a job at all. There will be more layoffs and my job is among those in jeopardy. I’m staying busy and not dwelling on things I can’t control.
Reaching this SparkPeople milestone has gotten me to think about habits. It’s time for me to develop better fitness habits. I don’t need to do anything drastic. I just need to be persistent. There’s never been a better time to start!
