Having a bit of a lazy day today. Haven't written a blog since the end of June. Not much to report that is different. Pretty much the same old, same old. In a way that is good,
My parents are well, and staying away from public places. As they are 92 and 94, I am glad they are willing, but am sorry for them to be missing the things that they enjoy.
My dad has not been able to bowl, which is his passion, but he has done a lot of fishing this summer. My mom's friend has a pond that is stocked with tilapia, so he is trying to get them out so they don't die over the winter. They are both enjoying the activity, and the fish. Mom get's to visit with Mary, her friend while he fishes, or sits with him at the pond.
My biggest concern for my dad is that if he does get to bowl again, that his back will not handle with such a long time away. I inherited my bad back from him.
Mom has been unable to go to the Y and do her 3 times a week water aerobics and swimming. The lack of that has caused her back and leg to be somewhat painful. So this not good, but it is what is is, I guess.
I have kept up with my riding my stationary bike 5 days a week, between 260 and 300 minutes a week.
I still feel that has saved my sanity in all of this. I do go out to eat about twice a week or so. Week before last was my birthday week, so went out a couple of extra times.
I am ok. I guess I can't ask for much more than that at this time.
I have lost 51 pounds since January of 2019, and I think that is good. Biggest thing to me is that I have kept the 51 pounds off. Not going up, or even up or down. Basically within a couple of pounds. That is a victory for me in good times.
I did lose my cousin, Bill, to Covid. That is a very tough thing. He was not in the best of health, but I don't think he would have died this soon. So sorry for all of the lost lives
Not much else to report. Just status quo, and that is good.
One day at a time.
