It's Really Happening

Next Tuesday is my back surgery, lumbar fusion. I will be in the hospital 2 to 3 nights. They will also give me physical therapy. I plan to give it all I've got!
My friend at church had this same surgery last month (different doctor) and is not in pain. So that is encouraging.
I would be lying to say that I am not nervous. I AM!
Dh will stay home with me during the healing process.
I have not mentioned that I feel better and have more energy after the heart ablation in July. Life is getting better.
This is a good time to do all this during the covid stuff. I am doing this to be able to travel. My dh is retiring at the end of this year. When you travel you have to do a lot of walking. Right now, I cannot. The lumbar surgery should cure that! Plus standing for long periods of time (like cooking) also hurts.
Here is what I have, two herniated discs, stenosis, bone spurs and lots of pain. I tried physical therapy and pain doctor (shots), neither helped. So now on to surgery.
I am looking forward to living well once more!
On another note: My lab results at the doctor yesterday were encouraging. All my labs improved. ALL. The doctor told me to keep doing what I am doing. What am I doing? Vegan/McDougall eating, also stationary bike.
