Update on the fabulous four

Well! The girls are doing well and growing. They now have two thirds of their run covered, just in time for rainy season so it doubled their room to roam out of the rain. I tried to order a roof tarp from the company I bought the original run from, but when I inquired as to whether I could order just an extra tarp, they responded telling me I could order a barber chair part and then had a link attached to, in fact, a barber chair part. So the translator clearly was not working and I didn't have time to sort that out and just found something from an entirely different company...not the exact same size as the first one, but close enough.
My youngest was out and just about to give the girls a mealworm treat, had just stepped into the run, and Bev (apparently wanting to be first to the party) flew from the opposite end of the run directly into the chicken wire wall next to where my son was standing. She left a big dent but seemed unfazed. These birds are always doing the most unpredictable things! Tonight I went out to give them a treat from the palm of my hand and Bev and Agnes came right up and started eating normally while Rosie stood slightly to the side and just pecked my thumb a few times, not getting any food at all, and Lilly stood WAY off to the side refusing to even come near...but she did try to steal the food the braver birds got. Today I saw a children's book called, "Someday We'll all have Very Good Manners" and I think I may need to read it to Lilly!
My new job is very disorganized right now. Due to almost the entire office turning over and covid shut downs (twice) as well as the doctor's heart surgery in the middle of it all, the whole place has pretty much been turned upside down. On the bright side, the doctor seems intelligent and reasonable and I have a friend who works there which makes everything a little more bearable. I need to get them a book called "Someday We'll all be Very Organized". The amount of redundant admin work there is quite insane and as we are in 2020 now, I feel should be much more streamlined. Having to input the exact same information into the computer 4 times for one order is pretty ridiculous, and yet, that is just what we do. I am pretty sure that technology is slowing us down with our current process. But who knows, maybe I just need to get used to it.
Looking forward to a fun family outing this weekend but still need to do everything to get ready for it, plus work, plus can another batch of salsa so it's going to be a busy next 3 days! Hope all you sparkies are sparking along. Cheerio!
