Challenging times for me these days. Some of you do not know, I'm going through a divorce that I do not want. As if 2020 didn't upend life as I knew it enough, another rug was pulled out from under me.
Therapy, nutritious foods and healthy activity are good for that. So that's what I'm doing, or I'm trying to do most days.
Some days are become-one-with-the-couch-with
-comfort-food days. I'll take those and then I'll pick myself up as many times as I need to.
I saw a meme on social media a couple days ago...
I mean, what a great way to handle a challenging moment am I right? I have yelled that out a few times in the last couple days.
My therapist told me... did you ask for this? No. do you want this? No, it was put on you, you're here so we need to work on moving forward in this new place you're in. For sure.
This week, I experimented with different alarms to wake me up. The tweeting birds were not enough to do it. Then I picked a song... I lived by One Republic. I used to have that as the first song on my running playlist during races to give me some get-up-and-go. That was a much better way to wake up.

A new month has started and with it a new Yoga With Adriene theme. This month is Action. If there was ever an inviting theme for me, this is it.
Will I have more I-can't-get-out-of-bed days? Oh absolutely! I'm going to try to have fewer of those.
As Kevin Costner said in the movie Rumor Has It... "Life has to be a little nuts sometimes. Otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together."
