Life Has To Be A Little Nuts Sometimes

Thursday, October 01, 2020

Challenging times for me these days. Some of you do not know, I'm going through a divorce that I do not want. As if 2020 didn't upend life as I knew it enough, another rug was pulled out from under me.

Therapy, nutritious foods and healthy activity are good for that. So that's what I'm doing, or I'm trying to do most days.

Some days are become-one-with-the-couch-with
-comfort-food days. I'll take those and then I'll pick myself up as many times as I need to.

I saw a meme on social media a couple days ago...

I mean, what a great way to handle a challenging moment am I right? I have yelled that out a few times in the last couple days.

My therapist told me... did you ask for this? No. do you want this? No, it was put on you, you're here so we need to work on moving forward in this new place you're in. For sure.

This week, I experimented with different alarms to wake me up. The tweeting birds were not enough to do it. Then I picked a song... I lived by One Republic. I used to have that as the first song on my running playlist during races to give me some get-up-and-go. That was a much better way to wake up.

A new month has started and with it a new Yoga With Adriene theme. This month is Action. If there was ever an inviting theme for me, this is it.

Will I have more I-can't-get-out-of-bed days? Oh absolutely! I'm going to try to have fewer of those.

As Kevin Costner said in the movie Rumor Has It... "Life has to be a little nuts sometimes. Otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together."

Have a crazy cool Thursday!

emoticon emoticon , my friend. Lots of plot twists in "The Season of Kellie"!!

As Kenny sings in "Here and Now": "been there, done that, got the T-shirt and hat ..."

Wise counsel to deal with the here and now. Resiliency is key this year, isn't it?!

Just catching up here. Internet woes continue

Of course, you will have days I once called "Make the World Go Away" (That's a song too)

But you have a great attitude which will serve you well.

Oh Kellie, I am sorry to hear this. I did not know. As I have been there and done that (mine was unwanted too), I can understand how hard this is and the feelings that go along with it. Give yourself some time to grieve and take good care of yourself. Staying healthy will help you get through this. Therapy will help toot and I'm glad you are doing that. My heart and prayers go out to you.

Hugs, lady. I'm sorry you are going through this. I am confident that you will be stronger on the other side. I do yoga with Adrienne, too. I will think of you during my next practice!

HUGS and so sorry for your news. 2020 has indeed be a rough, unkind, uncivil year. Prayers that you get through this.

I love the comment of plot twist. It helps explain many things.

You are doing all the right things Kellie and who knows what great positive plot twists are waiting for you in the months to come.

I’m so sorry that you’re going through a divorce. I love the “plot twist” idea. One moment at a time. You’re strong and can continue on from here.

I wish you much luck Kelly, sorry you have this going on, but you have the right attitude.
Just control the things you can change, those you can't you'll manage..........because you ARE strong enough.
