Day 16

Thursday, October 01, 2020

The Napa Wildfires are only about an hour to an hour and a half away from my house. It's heartbreaking and making it impossible to go outside again this week. I am having a hard time with my emotions and the fires in California this year. It's just a lot. I have belly danced today, and eaten well, and stayed on track, just looking for that positivity. I know this will pass, but a few days of being in the oppressive smoke makes it hard. It's so unnatural to breathe all of this in, and not go running. I hope you're all well!

It is so heartbreaking to read that you are still affected by these wildfires. I truly pray that it rains and puts these fires out. This world has turned upside down and I don't think anyone knows how to fix it. I can't believe the amount of land that has been burned. Last I heard it was 7 million acres. That is a lot of land, property, wild life and people who have been affected.

Stay safe as you can and take care of yourself the best you can. emoticon emoticon

Can't even imagine. Just keep working at it wherever you can. Hopefully the air will clear up soon.

I do understand and empathize with how you are feeling! My oldest daughter is right there in that beautiful country too and up here in Oregon our state has been heavily hit with the dreadful wild fires to as well as Washington. It is devastating and heartbreaking!

Prayers for your safety. This is just a crushing blow in addition to the virus. The world is topsy turvy.

I’m so sad for you being so close to the fires and around all that smoke. You are doing what you can indoors which is amazing, by the way! Keep up the activity. Sometimes changing up routine for a moment is a good thing too.
    Hang in there.

It DOES make it hard! When I lived in AZ, & the mountains were on fire (desert floor just too sparse of large trees so not as much of an issue), it was smoky and disgusting. Is there any way you can escape to a less smoky part of the W right now, like camping for a weekend or something?

LOVE that you are doing belly dancing as fitness alternative to biking. Very smart to have multiple activities you enjoy.

It is hard to always be positive. Good for you that you are staying on track.

It is heartbreaking. I pray for the families, the wildlife and everything impacted. I don't drink anymore but Napa, Sonoma and Healdsburg were some of my favorite places to roam. I am so glad you were still able to move your body today. Belly dancing is my JAM! Be well and happy, productive and positive October wishes!
