My Fabulous Five...

'Have you shared your plans for October?' The Wise Ones ask. 'You are more likely to commit to plans you share than by going it alone.'
So here are my Fabulous Five - the aims that I am going to carry out daily this month.
#1. 30mins Exercise of some kind daily on top of normal daily routine. Variety is the key to this for me.
#2. A personal Ban on chips and similar savory snacks. I will substitute fruit or a mini nuts and seeds box.
#3. Hydrate. This slipped badly last month. The penalty was dull dry skin, chapped lips and general headaches. Truly, I have no excuse. I'm working from home a lot and not travelling. I'm fine with water so down it goes...
#4. One 'Organising' task. It's a control issue and I'm more likely to emotionally eat if I look around me, see mess and beat myself up over it. Evenings can be a bad snack time for me. My pledge is to clear, de-clutter or clean a 'sticky' area. I walked the house this afternoon and made a list room by room.
Do it - check it - smile!!
#5. One 'Me' task. This could be anything ...music, nails, a book, foot massage. It's my time and my reward.
My Fab Five started this week. No snacking. Lots of water. My craft shelves and desk look great. DH and I are walking around the village daily, wrapped up against the wind and rain. Fall has set in here in the south east UK after a hot dry Summer). DIY mani and pedi tonight.
In these rather scary times, we tend to revert to what makes us feel safe and in control.
My Fabulous Five are doing just that for me.
