10/10/2020 (Day 135)

Saturday, October 10, 2020

135 DAYS!!! I have exercised Mondays-Saturdays and stretched on Sundays. I am proud!! I stalled for a few weeks and am not where I was hoping to be by this time, but I haven't given up. I have officially lost 70 pounds and 26 of those have been in the last 135 days. I have noticed less foot pain at the end of my school day. I have been able to wear shoes to work this year that I couldn't do last year because of the pain. I am enjoying the compliments from family and friends. I love feeling and looking better, but it is not all roses.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed thinking that I am only about half-way to my goal. I think about how long I have been trying to lose weight and I get discouraged. I have to remember that the first 44 pounds came off SLOWLY because I was inconsistent with my diet and exercise. 2015 to 2016 I lost 25 pounds. 2016 to 2017 I lost 9 pounds. From 2017 to 2018 I just maintained with 1 pound gain. Then from 2018 to 2019, I lost 7 pounds. Sep 9th 2019 to May 28th 2020 I lost 3 pounds.

All of that time losing weight was in the back of my mind. I kept track of my weight, I would sometimes exercise, and sometimes track my food, but I was not focused. I was not dedicated. I was not consistent. For over 1,500 days in the last 5 years, I was wishy-washy and still lost 44 pounds. For 135 days I have been consistent and have lost 26 pounds!

Ps 135:5 "For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods."
