Week 452 ... MB 236 ...

Morning Sparkies,

Hubby has just handed me a frothy coffee, as I settle in to start my blog.

A lovely Spring week of Sun, clouds, showers ... the grass grows... the birds sing... Beauty doesn't need feeding as she is wandering the paddocks and finding plenty of grass :)

I have finished Miss A's cardigan ..

I will send it for Christmas to her :)

I am having a time off knitting now ... letting my wrists rest and looking for new patterns to make.

Life is good :), a Kookaburra sits on an outdoor light we have by the window each day now, watching me as I watch him or her... lovely...there is nothing more peaceful than watching nature :)

Thinking of you as you come into Autumn and Winter, getting your houses ready for the cold. We are getting our fire breaks done for the hot Summer days :) strange isn't it ?

The Sailors of olden days must have thought it strange to find such different lands and climates to their own :).

Have a great week, do something for others, smile,

Thanks for stopping by,

I do like that sweater and another super job on it Christine. I am beginning to wonder when winter is getting here in South Georgia as 80+ again today. Have a super week. ((HUGS))

Your little granddaughter's new cardigan is just lovely -- the colours and the detail!!

And sitting to listen to the Kookaburra -- a bird I've known about since my own early childhood, from the song: but not yet seen one!!

I do think that some birds watch us as much as we watch them!! The change of the seasons is a source of solace and continuity in these times of upheaval . . .

Such talent you have for knitting! And your daughter is really a talented painter! Talent must run in the family!

It does seem odd to me that your Christmas is spent in the heat. Just as it must seem odd to you that my Christmas is spent in the cold. It's all about perspective.

I do sometimes wonder how the sailors of old handled traveling from climates they knew and understood to climates that were completely foreign. Especially if they were traveling North - South during Summer and sailing into Winter weather. That could have been quite the shock I imagine!

Is that another one of your daughters paintings it looks so real and lifelike. Love miss a’s cardigan and what an awesome Christmas present. This electronic message comes thru so fast and yet our fall is your summer and so separated. Your nature is what we pay to see at zoos and we could spend hours watching the kangaroos and giraffes. We’re fortunate to have a zoo so close. What an awesome week and well deserved rest until you begin again

love your knitting, I crochet and now that Autumn is here I will try to finish an afghan I started for daughter and give to her for Christmas. You have such interesting animals, I would spend most of my day watching them. emoticon
