Plans derailed by a change in dr appointment. I went earlier as requested and then had to wait for a LONG time. Results from my lung capacity test were so so. I have asthma, leftovers from by bad bout of pneumonia, so now I have a maintenance inhaler added to my as needed one.

I really like the doctor and his staff. One of the office staff had on a frayed mask, so I asked if they needed any. I now have a large order for the adult staff and four kids. I’m looking forward to making little bitty ones for the three and four year olds. The tiny ones are so cute. CHANGING-TURTLE, your order is in process right now.

Baked salmon for dinner tonight. We love salmon, and so does our little senior cat. She’s not happy about the frequent vegetarian meals around here. We have some lovely produce from our farm share, including corn for tonight. The organic farm has a reciprocal arrangement with a farm in SC so both can offer items that aren’t in season or available in both places. Husband’s best friend is the farm manager, and he can’t wait for husband to retire. He already has several possible jobs lined up for him and would be happy if husband retired right now!

We’re really pleased to be using our pool this far into October. Husband ordered a solar mat and is looking into other possibilities for extending our pool use.

The big event this week is the installation of a senior friendly walk-in tub. We ordered it months ago, but put it off due to COVID. I’m not thrilled about workers in the house, but it’s not going to be any better as we go into winter, so we’re just going to get it done ASAP. Thursday is tub day. Hopefully, it can be a one day job. Besides masks, my major MISSION this week is emptying and cleaning out my big linen closet so they can access the back of it for the pipes. I have too much to do to be sitting here, so off to it.

Sorry you are struggling with asthma. I hope that comes under control.

The tub sounds wonderful! Be sure and report on it.

We've had a plumber come in and work in the basement; we just stayed upstairs; then checked on his work later. We also had a technician service our A.C. unit this summer and while he was up and down stairs, he kept his mask on the whole time. So I think you'll be fine if you keep a good distance. Take care.

I'm glad your lung capacity is so/so and not labeled scary. Hopefully it will improve? A walk in tub...along with your pool and bike, your home will be a retirement Shangri-la!

Sorry the lung capacity test isn't as good as you probably hoped it might be.

We're having homemade veggie soup for dinner tonight but we do grill salmon (and mahi) regularly.

I considered a walk-in tub when we remodeled the master bath before we sold our home to move here. I opted out because we are both shower persons at heart. We chose a walk-in, no door shower instead which is also what they have here in "the old folks home". I prefer DH's description of "Disneyland for old folks" instead! LOL

Not like "The Villages" though - no golf courses, no bars. It's a place to age gracefully but not party all the time. I guess it really isn't a Disneyland, after all!

Oh wow you have to let me know how you like the walk in tub. I am thinking that it sounds like a wonderful idea. I love a tub bath in the winter especially. It snowed here al morning so if you were here you would be shutting off the pool before the water all froze. lol Still have that little bottle of Fla. Sunshine, but will wait until the first morning it hit minus 20 belowe, that is when a little Fla. heat will be appreciated. lol
