Rainy Tuesday

Tuesday, October 20, 2020

No pool today. Plan B is my nice recumbent bike. No excuses! A nice rainy afternoon is just right for enjoying my Halloween lights.

I did a little shopping this morning and am busy working on a pile of mask orders. I was low on man mask and kid mask materials so I went early to a thrift shop wearing both a mask and face shield plus sanitizer. Repurposed clothes are good soft and inexpensive mask makings.

I’m saddened by the lack of unity in our poor country. Name calling is not leadership. Lack of basic human kindness is not leadership. I don’t care which side it comes from, denigrating another human being is wrong. “Love your neighbor,” no exceptions. Jesus was asked, “Who is my neighbor?” and told the story of the Good Samaritan.

May God have mercy! You are so right! If everyone's heart were right, it would not matter one bit what form of government we had. But . . . . .

So sad. Pray, pray, pray! For all of them, and all of us who are affected by them, and the whole world.

When did so many people come to think it's acceptable to be so selfish? Why is wearing a mask for the health of the general public so hard? How can that possibly be infringing on personal rights. I don't drive down the wrong side of the street just because someone told me I shouldn't. Claiming personal liberty is just plain selfishness. There's my rant.

I will be so glad when this election is over. I am at the point that I don't care who wins, just get it over with, just to negative. Sorry no pool enjoyment today.
