Still no word from Tamriel

Tamriel is my son's missing kitty. He (son) and the allergic GF are doing their best to try to help him (male kitty) find his way home. His photo has been posted online in the "lost and found pets" group, son checks with the humane society every couple of days.
Yesterday, he called me on the phone while he was outdoors walking, so he could have an excuse to be talking aloud out and about. "The experts" (whoever he's getting advice from) tell him that to attract a skittish cat, he should be talking normally, not attempting to call the kitty. So chatting on the phone with his mother fills the bill. Win-win, I get to hear from my son!
The kitty has been gone since about the 7th of October. Experts are telling him if a kitty is skittish it can be two to three weeks before they make their presence known. Son puts food out on the porch, and the food disappears, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the missing kitty eating it!
Carl helps out by pointing out every cat he encounters on his walks with "dad".
Meanwhile, Son is scheduling the deep cleaning of the house, in anticipation of the GF move-in, end of November. Ducts, and carpets, for starters, beyond the rooms that got re-doing attention beyond that (bathroom and office).
And I'm somewhat cringing at the arrival of cold weather. Hibernation season. Comfort food season, too.
Here's hoping all's well in YOUR corner of the Spark verse!
