Well it is Saturday. Opened my eyes and wondered what day it is. Then i remembered.
I was somewhat amused because a known figure disputed her lack of wages compared to what others made. She argued her case. She wanted more. Mind you, a young woman, who is in the six figure yearly income bracket.
I thought, "Well would you like to trade places with regular people?"
It all seems relative to me. In no competition with anyone--will not be in the Forbes list of
the rich and famous. And that is A-OK with me and hubby.
However, to count our blessings, we live debt free--do not live above our means; may not have as much as others, but still have more than some--- not comparing. Comparing and complaining is no way to be happy.
I count blessings for a roof over our head, and a nice one, do not wonder where our next meal is coming from, or if we will be able to pay the utility bill. Just in my opinion, my silver lining is not rushing in the rat race any longer, (work place) and doing what we love to do.
I once knew a man who was striving to make a 'million dollars." (in the 70's) He finally did, but when he got the million, then he said he would relax when he got his first five million!
There is something to say for contentment. And be it ever so humble, there is no place like home!
Enjoy your weekend everyone! ...
