We watched the debates and the 60 Minutes interviews. I hope allllll Americans vote this year. We each have a voice … let it be heard.

It’s like losing weight … pick the one that works for you.

Fat people believe the thinking that made them fat will make them thin.
Fit people know if they want to succeed, they have to change.

Fat people aren’t fat because they’re undisciplined. They’re not fat because they have low self-esteem. And they’re not fat because they are missing anything. Fat people are fat because they think fat.

Their thoughts and philosophies direct them to behave in ways that make them fat. They see French fries, onion rings and pizza and think, yum. Fit people see these foods and think, poison. The food is the same, only the thoughts are different.

Fat thinking will not make you fit.

Thinking like a broke person will keep you broke. Thinking like an unhappy person will keep you unhappy. Thinking like a fat person will keep you … fat.

Fat is just the effect; thinking is the cause.

Most people are focused on changing the effect, but the secret is changing the cause, and the effect will take care of itself.

Critical Thinking Question: Are you really prepared to change your thinking about diet and exercise???

Action Step: Start repeating this phrase to yourself every day: I think like a fit person. Say this to yourself and everyone around you until it’s hardwired into your belief system.

I have made great strides in changing how I think … my feelings towards exercise and eating sensibly. I am eating enough … yep, you heard me right. I think there have been times I have been so gung-ho about losing weight that I didn’t eat enough and then rebound with bingeing.

Moving my body daily has gotten tons easier … but I still can’t scream from the roof tops … I LOVE exercising. But I’m doing it. Coz I like the way I feel.

Now to keep my sanity when weighing-in on the scale. It is moving sooooooo s-l-o-w-l-y that I gotta keep my senses.

• Detach from the numbers.

Change your mind … and the rest WILL follow.

Coz … I want to be ME.
