Cyndi Marlowe got in from a bike ride last week and found someone waiting near her front door:
Apparently the trees in her neighborhood make excellent backscratchers!
We have blue skies today, although the temperature is below zero and the ground is covered with snow! I'm telling stories to 2nd graders - two classes a day - for the next 3 days. This month it's "Ah Shung Catches a Ghost" and "The Monster Who Ate My Peas" in preparation for Halloween. This early in the year I don't actually tell anything too scary - they're barely out of first grade! - but they all BELIEVE they like scary stories. Turning the tables on a ghost and sending a monster packing is just enough scary right now!
