Good morning!

Wednesday, October 28, 2020

Ok with my great friends I decided to stay abit longer. It's going to take time to navigate the new stuff. Weighted and lost 3 lbs so far and so hard in not overly binge on sweets. Today I do meet a newly and scary challenge in an HR mammogram! After turning 61 in September I never dealt with one so unsure about outcome or they can do a successful scan, the girls are not very large lol guess we will do the best. Update on test and everything seem just fine. Get letter or phone call if something serious.

If you are talking about weight-loss results, please do NOT put that kind of time-frame on yourself. That is one reason why a lot of people give in - give up! Sometimes it can take a few weeks for the scales to start to reflect any positive change. It doesn't mean that you are doing anything wrong. It just means that you are only monitoring ONE of the many indicators. As an example, your clothes can indicate weight-loss long before the scales do. The condition of your hair/skin can show improvements prior to the scales. So can your sleep quality, and many other things show before weight-loss. Do you have a problem with Cholesterol, BP or blood sugars? These are things that will show results but which you can't see or feel. Have you had your Thyroid checked? A lot of people have hypothyroidism and don't realize it. I myself have this altho the blood results came back borderline, but I was showing symptoms so the Dr prescribed meds. Treatment with medication and the symptoms (not weight-related) went.

My own weight-loss journey was very slow. My average loss per week worked out at .3kg (less than 3/4lb) / week ... some weeks there was nothing, and some weeks a bit more.

I wonder if some of your frustration could be an indicator of depression? If is far more common that people realize - especially given the global pandemic.

Please, hang in there. You can do this. You CAN do this!!!!

Kris I have my doubt and getting so frustrated by the minute. Nothing is going right. Giving until the end of November to get results.

    Even men have mammograms.

I'm glad that you have decided to 'stay a bit longer' however I suggest you stay longer than that 'bit'!! Yes, it can be overwhelming, but if you spend time playing around with the site, exploring the message boards, and the articles, you will find that you will learn, and also play with the Nutrition Tracker. You will get used to it all. It just takes perseverance and 'stick-ability'

    Good luck,
