A Quick Update
Tuesday, November 24, 2020
Just thought I'd post a quick update about my depression before I start work this morning.
I emailed my doctor yesterday afternoon and he got back to me in the afternoon. Rather than putting me on an anti-depressant, which may make me manic, he decided to up my Seroquel, which is the main med I take for my Bipolar right now. Seroquel works quickly in me and I usually see the results of a change within 48-72 hours. I took the higher dose last night and slept well, though I woke up too early (4 am). I laid in bed until 6 am, then got up and went for a walk and came home and made smoothies for breakfasts for this week. I am feeling a little better today. Still a little low but nothing compared to this weekend. I hope to be feeling even better and feeling the effects of the meds by Thursday or Friday. I told my doctor I would email him later this week, though with the holiday he probably won't get it until Monday.
I received many kind messages and Spark mails from Spark friends and acquaintances about my blog and I just want to thank everyone. It really is nice to know we have such a supportive community here. I knew I could talk about this and no one would judge and people would try to help me out. I am grateful.
Tonight I have a Zoom meeting with a financial advisor on how he can help me plan for retirement. I am looking forward to this. I have had his contact for several years but haven't been in a position to invest until now. Looking forward to hear what he has to say.
I have been on an online dating site (Christian Connection) for a couple of weeks without success until yesterday when a man reached out to me last night. He is Orthodox (Coptic) like me and an accountant like me too. We talked for a while last night and I hope to chat with him later this week again. Exciting!
That's all from here. Off to work. My shift starts in 20, but I think I will sign in early.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) Wonderful Spark Friends.
2) That my breakfasts are all made for this week (and are very yummy!).
3) That I will be able to get a little OT in this morning.
