Christmas & New Years-Moderna Vaccine
Tuesday, December 29, 2020
Alright, its December 29th just about to New Years Eve Thursday!
Full Disclosure-I am considered an essential health care worker, my SO also, so we have taken the Moderna Vaccine as of last Friday!
I have received the Moderna Vaccine, last Friday was my first dose on the 18th. No side effects from the first dose, just a slightly sore arm. Otherwise I am good. I have the second dose on Thursday, January 14th. That may be where I get the side effects, we will see. I was allowed to wait to receive the Moderna because the Pfizer vaccine likely would have given me issues so I was given a waiver to wait for the Moderna. My SO took the Moderna as well at the same time so we will get the second dose together. We should have 2021 sewed up pretty well, hoping. After we get the second dose we will get the proof we need to travel or prove we took the vaccine. In the summer if its safe we will go to New York as we have the YL's Mom there and I have family there also near Central Park!
My Mom and brother will grab the Moderna in the second round since they are both higher risk. My brother had cancer and he is compromised because of asthma also. My Mom is 81 with Parkinsons so she wants to wait until she sees how the SO and I handle the vaccine. The SO had no side effects from the first dose either. The others in my office and the SO who took Moderna did well. The most I have heard is a bit of a sore arm.
Christmas went fine last week, I received a rose gold 2 carat pear shaped diamond and emerald ring from the SO, sweet! I wear it on my right hand! A Ninja Blender (best blender ever for mixing up smoothies and vanilla wafers for bourbon balls) & gift cards from Amazon, Visa and Spotify. Yay Spotify honestly because free Spotify sucks awful times. Amazon egc's will get me a few things that I need. This morning before work I went to Wal-Mart and made a fast stop to Target. I bought some earphones on sale and a few other things, most stuff I bought from Wal-Mart. I went home unloaded and dashed to work with 10 minutes to spare at 830am. Tomorrow I work 8am-5pm and then I am done until Monday the 4th.
Having the Rose Bowl game in Arlington and no Rose Parade bites hard on New Years Day. I appreciate Arlington hosting the game for us this year though! I helped build floats for the parade a few times and put roses on floats! It was usually pretty cold but it was fun to do. I'm hoping by this time next year we can have those things back.
It's about time for BLC Round #45 to start so I need to figure out GOALS. I'll be able to think about that Thursday though! I took a break during the off time, it was needed though truthfully.
2020 has been the hardest year of my life and that is saying a lot for my life some years. Need to get back to work so I'll chat more Thursday when I am out of work~
