God times my walks
Monday, January 04, 2021
During 2020 we moved from a large house in rural Missouri to an apartment complex in a city. What I do for regular exercise has changed. I now need to get my 'stair climbing' outside my own personal space (apartment).
One day I felt that strong urge 'go, do the walk'. So I went and began climbing stairs. As I waited on a landing a man was coming down. He said, "How ya doin'?"
"Well," I responded, "Better than you I would say" Because he was bandaged with his arm in a sling. He stopped and talked to me while I listened and ended up praying with him.
Today, again...But the back story. I prepared a Christmas card saying "Thank you for decorating for Christmas" included a chocolate bar and left one at the door of each apartment in Building "D" which had decorated their Patio with lights. And also included the Very Nicely lit Patio in Building "E".
Today, As I walked in Building "E", I heard voices and when getting closer heard, "Are you sure you don't know who Joyce is in Building "D"? She left me a chocolate bar and a Thank You for my decorations"
Of course, I popped up the last 3 steps to join the group in the doorway and announced, "I am Joyce from Building "D". So glad you got my note!"
Now, have I provided a smile for anyone else? How about a thought about Immanuel; God being with us, during the Christmas Season.
