The Past Four Days

Just about everyone knows that Texas has been having much worse weather than normal. Here in the Rio Grande Valley, it is unbelievable weather the past four days. Actually, the cold came in a few days before, but not as damaging as the past four days. Below freezing overnight temps, and the highs in mid 30's. Monday morning, our electric power went off at 4 AM, until this afternoon. Living under a pile of blankets and quilts day and night to try and stay warm. I needed to sleep in the living room, as at least the couch seats lift up to allow my feet to stay up. Since power was out, I couldn't sleep in my adjustable bed ( needs power to operate the up and down movement). I was unable to use my C-pap machine at liked, and likewise hubby couldn't use his B-pap machine.
Eating was awful, no cooking means being satisfied with what was in the pantry, was thrilled to use oven tonight to put a meal in the oven. We lost all the food in 2 refridgerators, and a separate freezer. Two hours less than 4 days unfreezes a lot of food.
I have already raised my bed for tonight, and will keep it that way until this freeze ends, the power could go off again. There are still millions of people with out electricity around the entire state, and many needing to boil snow for water indoors for drinking. Our water was off for much of one day do to several places here in the park water line breaks. They did get those closed off and restarted the water again. I don't know how one gets so tired wrapped up in warm blankets and quilts, but I am totally exhausted, so another day without exercise, except for throwing all the melting frozen food in bags and brought to the garbage cans. Hoping the power stays on, and the heat up starts right after tomorrow morning below freezing temp.
