Creating our own zen

Good morning friends.. started the day with another intense #cko session.. and it seems my myzone (haven't mentioned that in quite some time) has decided to go wonky again.. it's been happening for about a 2 weeks now and I wasn't really paying attention since I am meeting the monthly goals even without it working properly, but yesterday I did take note as I was dripping with sweat, breathing extremely heavy and barely hitting 60% or approximately 100 beats per minute based on my target heart rate.. I looked at my fitbit and my heart beat was at 140... that number bugs me more than the stupid scale.
Oh almost got Covid appointments for my parents.. Actually saw some availability, filled out the online form, went into the waiting room then got the sorry we're all full message.. better than getting fully booked from the moment I check - I guess. What a freaking mess..
It was bitter cold here yesterday.. temps dipped.. 34 but felt like 21 and the wind was crazy wicked.. so after my morning workout I remained in doors.. put in 2 hours of work, hopped on the treadmill for 30 minutes, did the daily yoga workout which was a short one, only 15 minutes. I sat and painted.. leaning heavily towards oceans and sunrises/sunsets lately.. hmm.. do you think I am OVER winter?
Noticed the first signs of our new tulip bulbs popping through the earth the other day.. I hope this cold spell does not shock them.. I hope we get a good display. We dug out the old ones except for a few hearty bulbs and loaded it up with new ones. They are in a spot next to our front porch deck that gets sunlight now but once our tree gets its leaves does not get much light so tulips are perfect, they bloom and then wither before the tree becomes an issue.
No kickboxing today.. off to dr this morning for big D's follow up visit and then we are going to IhOp for breakfast. I think it is called IHOP still.. I know a while back they were going to change the name or some nonsense...anyway it is right up the block and I figured it would be a nice treat. I think I will get in my yoga session before the dr visit and the weather is supposed to pop into the 50s so I see a walk outside in my future, also hubby and I plan on going out into the back-back yard area to start mapping out our vision for the zen garden I want to design and hopefully we get a Ryder call tonight.
Yesterday I ate mostly chicken.. banana for breakfast, lunch was grilled chicken with guacamole and pickled red onions in a la banderita wrap. Had some frozen grapes for a mid afternoon snack. Dinner was baked chicken breast, sautéed spinach and unsweetened apple sauce.. and I had a piece of cake for dessert.. why not I had plenty of room in my day.. not to toot my own horn but it was seriously delicious.
Got another lasagnalove match.. this time a single mom and two young children so I am going to throw in some treats; thinking homemade cookies and flavored applesauce to go along with the lasagna and bread.
