Hump Day's Over

Wednesday, March 03, 2021

Today was hump day. Definitely, appropriately named!
I worked part-time this morning (but the pay check for work done in Feb hadn't arrived when it was time to leave) - Got a text after 2 PM (when I was involved with a different issue -- see below) that the check was now there. I'm not sure whether the check can be mailed to me. (The company is only open M-W but I do have the owner's cell number.)
Did get out in the sun and enjoyed warmer weather (40's- low 50's) over a leisurely lunch.
This afternoon, there was a challenge which should have been handled with entering info on a website. The website has 5 choices (I needed 2 - but that was NOT an option. Neither option could handle the issue because in my situation the 2 had been bundled), Thus I called what I thought would be a short phone call (It turned into 3 phone calls, being shuffled to 8 different departments, being told 2 different names for the department I needed, both times being told I would be connected directly to that department and both times being put back in the original queue with the 'automatic voice' that only allows the same choices as the website -- you've got the idea. I finally got the right department and partial resolution before I was disconnected! on the 2nd phone call! Total time - 2 1/2 hours!
Went for my scheduled time in the pool.
3rd phone call came from them this evening (f/u on the disconnected call to be sure everything was handled). At least, it seems, they now understand the issue and told me to call 'x' (which is closed until tomorrow - but it is a DIRECT call). Thus, is the situation completely resolved. NOT YET!!! On the positive side, headway has been made.
I will go to bed in peace knowing God is in control.

I’m happy you got to enjoy the sun in warmer (?) weather over lunch. emoticon

I don’t like it when you have to wait a L O N G time for a resolution over a problem. For me it is sometimes a pain because of our location (calling the East coast requires an early call), but that’s okay. I’m glad you made headway over the situation and that things are now under control.

That surely was a B I G hump to go over!

So sad to have wasted so many hours, but it sounds like finally a resolution is in sight.

A direct number - that is a definite plus

Do you know that's how April Fool's Day started -- referring to Christ being sent from "pillar to post" and each authority "passing the buck" to another person.

OMG! I applaud you for being able to still have a positive attitude after the problems you faced. Thank goodness that you were able to enjoy time outside in the warm sun (it was only 35F here) and had your pool time. I'm sure those activities helped you to keep your sanity. That and of course your strong faith.
Get a good night's sleep and I hope tomorrow you can quickly finish dealing with the situation with one short phone call
    emoticon Denise.
