75 kg on eelleen tavoite vuonna 2020

Hi, my name is Miller and I live in NC. I'm 65 yr. old mother of one adult daughter and have been married to my husband, Randy, for almost 44 years. I was doing very well from the end of December throughout January, but somehow lost my way. A Spark friend recommended this Challenge, so I'm excited to get started on small changes that will last and get me on a better path!

I'm a SP backslider!

But I started again, new account, new everything. I'm happy to be back.

My small change today was to drink more water than yesterday. I'm not able just yet to consume 8 glasses but I will work on it.

Hi everyone. I'm Gayle and I'm a sugar addict.

II don't know if it's a habit or an actual addiction.

It seems that I need to have something sweet after my meal.

I have tried eating dates. I use them in place of candy.

HI, I'm Kay and have been on spark for a while but no follow through. Have been using faithfully the last 6 weeks and have lost 11 pounds. Decreased my fat 50%. Making one small change to diet a week. Never thought I would learn to like fat free cottage cheese or plain yogurt! Now I'm a fan. Just have to stay the course. I tend to be a sprinter--and this is a marathon :)

I am very pleased that by cutting 80% sugar from my diet, I am no longer pre-diabetic. I had been pre-diabetic for 14 years and struggled with my sugar addiction that long. I use stevia as a sugar substitute which my doctor recommends. I have taken to drinking smoothies which would be a good replacement for your sugar loaded sodas. I was a single mom to a teenager who is now 39 and now that I am retired, I am taking care of my granddaughter 2 or 3 days per week. I am so proud of my son. He is buying a house out in the suburbs with an apartment for mom! Can you imagine? He was a handful as a teenager but has turned into a wonderful adult.

God loves me just the weigh I am and too much to leave me this weight!

I have been away from Spark People for awhile. In the past two years I have lost 75 pounds. I had two bouts of food poisoning which gave me a jump start of losing 53 pounds. The rest I have lost with the help of the wonderful free app on my smartphone ... "myfitnesspal" which tracks my progress, counts my calories and even gives me a breakdown on several nutritional categories. The program makes counting calories easy and has been a wonderful tool for me to use. My goal is to stay under 1,600 calories per day but I have been having trouble doing that lately and have stepped up my walking to compensate. I do not want to gain the weight I have lost back and am joining this team to learn different ideas as to how to stay motivated. I need to lose 46 pounds before I am under 200 pounds. My ideal weight is 140 which I haven't weighed in 40 years!

Donna, can you think of something small and fun which will help you make progress today, and which is small enough to feel easy?

For example, I decided to have fruit before my meals, today. I also resolve to do a pushup a day, and soon I was strong enough to do more. I like the little step idea.

I am Kristiana Donahue. I have been working for a few years to reach my goal weight. It's been ups and downs. I've made a lot of great healthy changes in my life, but continue to struggle with consistency. Life gets in the way many times. So I want to focus on continuing to make good habits in a way that is reasonable and will stick. I've been on and off of Sparkpeople for years. I keep coming back because I love the balanced mentality. 30 pounds to my goal!

Hello, I am Katie. I have used Sparkpeople in the past to successfully lose weight and get in better shape. I have had a difficult few years and have managed to put most of the weight back on......

I have a real sweet tooth and snack way too much. I cook healthy for meals so if I would just eat that!

I am a 61 year old physical therapist, married with four children. I am adjusting to having more time for me, after so many years of caring for others. I have a few formal events coming up in August and September and I thought this is a good time to make some changes. I like the idea of small changes. I tend to be a perfectionist and jump off the wagon with any perceived failure

Looking forward to working toward our goals together.

Hi I am Mary Ellen. I am 74 years old I joined Sparkpeople to lose at least 10 pounds. I know that doesn't sound like much but I lost 30 pounds several years ago and put 20 of it back on. At my age I cannot afford to lose too much weight as your skin has a tendency to hang. Lol This site is awesome and it is how I lost the 30 pounds. The videos are great and many are suited for us "women of a certain age"

Hi: My name is Diane. I am 74 years young and have been off course for the last 2 years. My husband has been sick and I became his caregiver. He is getting better and it is a good time for me to get myself together. I need to take small steps and have solid goals in mind. I think this is the best motivating sight and plan to do my best to get back on track.

Hi Everyone!
I just started SP 5 days ago. For the last 7 months I've cut out 32oz of soda, started drinking 8-10 cups of water, walk/run 3 to 6 miles a day (on off days I do fe fit videos. And I've changed my eating habits. I haven't lost a single pound. My clothes fit no differently. It's discouraging but I don't want to quit. I'm hoping the site will give me a visual of where I am going wrong.

This challenge seems perfect for me since I am striving to make small changes instead of diving in with both feet and almost drowning.

I am working on making an entire lifestyle change, not simply lose weight. Happier, healthier and more active are my goals for this year.

Howdy,
My name is Sabrina, but Brina is fine xD

My goals are more rounded than just weight and such, but those are some important ones.

I've recently been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, which has affected my weight negatively, and my appetite.

I'm currently trying to gain back the 10 pounds I lost in healthy amounts of fat and muscle mass, as I'm a weak little bean with no stamina xD

Basically, I just wish to improve all around this year :)

Hi, my name is Jenye and I live in Australia. I have MS and am in a wheelchair - in the last year I have put on at least 20kg and find it hard to exercise. I broke my ankle in August last year and find now I have lost any confidence I had. I have 3 grown up children but live on my own now. Thank you for having me in your team.

Hello friends! I have more than 100 pounds to lose, but for the first time in many years I have HOPE! I've been making lifestyle changes (and sticking with them) for more than a month, and feeling better than I have in years. I've been tracking food successfully for some time now, but because of an injury I haven't been able to be as active as I'd like to be. I have finally been cleared to do some (gentle) exercising, so now I'm embarking on making even more lifestyle changes. Hooray!

Hi everyone!
New here, and thought I'd give this challenge a try.
I am newly back on my journey, relapsed awhile back and have gained over 100 lbs in less than a year.

Bulimic and Binge eater most of my life.
But, at the age of 43 my body now wants me to take care of myself more.
I now am pre-diabetic, have circulation problems, high blood pressure and more..
Needless to say, it's time.

Excited to get myself back into a healthy pattern of taking care of me, so this challenge couldn't come at a more perfect time.

Hi all, I'm Anne Marie, and a lot of people just call me AM. I recently found SP after being on medical leave from work for a year, and looking for resources and support to help me get back to better health. Needless to say, small steps are definitely the way! I'm really enjoying all of the resources here on SP. So nice to have contact with all of you, here, too!

My name is Teresa and I have been struggling with weight/body issues all of my life. I will go through cycles when I gain and lose rapidly. I am currently going through an upward cycle and it is affecting my mood and general well being. It seems more difficult as I am getting older. I have joined this challenge to help get me back on track.

My name is Nola. I am 64, soon to be 65. I live in Chiefland, FL. I have been sparking since July 21, 2014. I lost 37 pounds in the first 6 months by cutting out junk and weighing and measuring everything I ate and exercising everyday! I went onto maintenance and got overwhelmed with the nutrition tracker and what I should and shouldn't eat and since then gained 12.5 pounds back. I am hoping this challenge will help me get back on track.

Hi, I am Linda from Washington state. I m on my way to ONE-derland - that lovely place where weight readings begin with a 1-- not 2-- or 3--. I have not seen that for over 35 years! and finally m getting close!!! 208.4!!! Wanting to make that goal by Oct 7 when we leave for vacation but will be thankful to just lose one pound a week if that is what is healthy for me right now. Looking forward to encouraging tidbits to help me along the way and hoping to encourage others too.

Hello everyone. I am approaching one of the "worst" places to be in a health plan. Most of my pants are getting to loose to stay on without a belt, but when I shop for new pants, I have not lost enough weight to get a smaller size. Sometimes because of the way pants are made, I have to get an even bigger size. I know it shouldn't matter what the number is, but it is very discouraging.

Also, I have invited a friend to sparkpeople, now I want to invite her to this challenge but can't figure it out.
