Trust me, once exercise is a habit you will no longer think of it as anything but what you WANT to do, It will not be sugary treats or greasy burgers that consume your thoughts, you will instead crave a rapid heart rate and beading sweat, the burn that comes with a good workout will be the "treat" that drives your every second of the day and before you know it healthy living will happen right before your eyes, astounded and impressed with yourself victory will be yours.

12 months has brought me 165 pounds less and I have relearned how to fuel my body. Jan 1st 2008 a 534 pound man decided that enough was enough and a year later He was 165 pounds lighter, I still have a lot of work to do and I think 2009 will be the year that I hit my goal of weighing 275 pounds. care to come along for the ride?

A milestone was reached on 09/12/08, I have lost 152 total pounds in just 8.5 months on my own with nothing but discipline, determination and drive. I am within 7 pounds of having less than 100 pounds left to lose to hit my goal of 275 pounds.

Century mark number two reached on July 25th 2008, 400 lbs and counting that's 134 total pounds lost!

42.88% total weight loss or 229 pounds in 29months, and that ain't nothing to shake a stick at when you start out above 500 pounds!

The keep on keepin on ain't stopping any time soon You'd have an easier time stopping a freight train than me at this point. so stay tuned kids and remember Keep your hands and feet in this ride at all times.

I will not attempt to dazzle you with words or tell you that I am an expert at anything, the only thing that I will do is be as real as a punch to the face, what you see is what you get, nothing more, nothing less. Persistence is the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality, the other, a matter of time. I have achieved things in the past few months that I did not think were possible. and they have changed my life for the better.

I have come from a father worried about the longevity of his life to someone that knows He will be successful in dropping the weight that has figuratively as well as literally held him back in recent years. I work out daily and watch what I eat. I also find myself wondering how could I be sticking to this as easily as I am right now, and yet found it so hard in the past, either way I am very pleased with My results so far.

Sometimes ya gotta take a look in the mirror and give an honest assessment to see that there's a problem. I did that a while ago and decided that its time to take control of a situation that can only get worse, so I did. fear stared me in the face and told me that that it is high noon and time to make a decision.

Fitness Minutes: 1,440

My Goals:
I have lost more than 200 pounds since Jan 2008, I still have some to go and I am trying to hit 265 pounds as soon as possible.

My Program:
*Bike rides as often as possible
*I walk as much as I can a typical walk for exercise is between 2 and 3 miles
*interval running
*will add the gym to the summer plan as needed

*I go to the gym 4-6 times per week where I do 40-60 minutes of cardio every trip and 3 days per week 40 minutes of weight lifting on top of the cardio.

*stay positive

I am eating anywhere between 1700 and 1900 calories on average I am on a 1700 cal per day program for the most part upping them on my weight lifting days

Living life to the fullest is the way I want to spend my time and this is how I plan on accomplishing that.

I am recording my intake among other things on a blog that I started here
