July 3, 2021 The Crown is fully straightened and back in place!!! IF brought me to the low end of Maintenance Range today 134.2lbs, without even trying!!!!
Now to learn how to stay there... Trial and Error has begun...

June 19, 2021 The final 5% Challenge has started and I reset my Maintenance Range (once again, but this time higher). I've been in (and out) of maintenance for almost a year now and think my body has found a happy weight... so my Maintenance Range will be 134-140.
I've been struggling and constantly stressed over 3-6lbs for the last couple months... crazy!!! My clothes still all fit, I'm healthy, fit and look pretty good for 60yrs old... so no more stressing! Time to just enjoy living this healthy lifestyle and focus on healing my gut instead of losing weight!

May 29, 2021 141.6 ... Back to Weight Loss Mode I Go!!! Ended the Spring Challenge 2 lbs up over the last 8 weeks and almost 10 lbs from my lowest weight, so I'm now solidly out of Maintenance Range. It would have been much worse if not for the 5% Challenge and my Spark Friends holding me accountable, supporting, encouraging and cheering me on. Time to Get Back to Business!!!! The In Between Spring Break Challenge starts today and the Summer 5% Challenge starts June 26 so I'm ready to roll!!

April 24, 2021 135.6... Back in Maintenance Range (132-136) thanks to a little help from the Dawg Pack and Spark Friends holding me more accountable... Thank You!!!

April 3, 2021 139.6lbs... YIKES!!! Gained 5.6lbs over the last month! I haven't weighed this much since last August when I hit Goal of 140lbs! So easy to fall right back into old habits and succumb to lack of exercise and overeating! Spring 5% Challenge started just in time for the Dawg Pack (I'm on the Spirited Under Dawgs team) and my SparkFriends to help me get back on track, fix my slipping crown, lift my head high and keep it in place! I will be back to Maintenance Range of 132-136lbs shortly... just watch this!!!

March 6, 2021 134lbs... Finished Winter 5% Challenge... Didn't quite hit my goal but lost 50%... when you shoot for the moon and miss, you still land among the stars!
Will continue to maintain and hold weight between 132-136lbs with a little help from the PAWsome Spirited Under Dawgs and the Spring Break Challenge... then on to the Spring 5% Challenge... WON"T YOU JOIN ME???

January 2, 2021 138.5lbs... 21 weeks in Maintenance Mode
New Goal: 132lbs by March 6, 2021... Will get there with the help of the Winter 5% Challenge and the Spirited Under Dawgs!

December 26, 2020 136.5lbs... 20 Weeks in Maintenance Mode

August 8, 2020 hit goal of 140lbs... 48 weeks... learned so much... Going to sit right here for a minute and see what happens... next goal 140lbs or less on August 31, 2020

June 20, 2020 hit goal of 145lbs... 10 days early (exceeded by 1lb)… next goal 140lbs by Aug 31, 2020

Sept 9, 2019 I have fought weight issues my whole life and when I make up my mind to lose weight I do it flawlessly.... BUT... I have never been able to maintain for more than a few months to a year.

Several years ago I found SparkPeople and was doing well.

Tracking my nutrition showed me that I could eat anything, just in smaller quantities, and not feel deprived, which eventually leads to major binging and putting it all back on.

All was going well when life hit!

4yrs ago I lost my job, 3 yrs ago my husband had a major stroke (I became his 24/7 caregiver), 1 1/2 years ago my 43yr old son passed away and 8mos ago I quit smoking.

I resorted back to my life long coping mechanisms... Starving, Binging and Lack of Exercise.

I wasn't eating enough, became a couch potato (was stationary all day, everyday) and gained about 30lbs... in another words... feeling sorry for myself!

I Survived That Which Was Supposed to Kill Me... Time to Straighten My Crown!

I think I finally got it! These coping skills don't work, they only make matters worse! NO MORE DIETING, it's time to make healthy lifestyle changes... dieting does not work!

Eating "Real" food (not just the lowest calorie or fat free) and staying within Nutritional Guidelines along with being on my feet instead of my seat will definitely help me to lose weight then keep it off.

Initial goal is to lose 28-30lbs and live a healthy lifestyle to ensure I am strong and healthy enough to continue caring for my husband and enjoy my grandchildren for many more years
