In May of 2018, I was recovering from reverse shoulder replacement surgery and I was haunted by a vision. Aware of what my weight was and being stuck at home recovering, I was afraid I would become the fat lady in the Nip/Tuck episode who had to be surgically separated from the couch. I said, "No. Never." I decided to do something about it. I googled on-line food diaries and Sparkpeople was the first thing to pop up. I signed up on May 31, 2018 and have since lost 120 pounds and I am now recovering from having the excess fat removed from my arms. I am saddened that such a fabulous life aid is being shut down, but I will continue to track and monitor what I eat for the rest of my life. I never ever want to gain it back and not fit into the world again, or be out of breath going up a flight of stairs.

My Program:
I have had my intolerances tested and as a result, I don't eat any soy, wheat, dairy, eggs, rice, potatoes, corn or corn-based products, tomaotes or tomato-based products, and a bunch of other stuff. I have had my DNA tested for diet and weight loss plus my RMR and body comp. All of this has helped me put together a life sustainable food and exercise program I plan to do for the rest of my life.





Personal Information:
I am a curator for the Westchester County Parks department. I love visiting museums and traveling. I also really enjoy finding recipes and then cooking healthy meals.I also love crafting such as beading, spinning sheep wool and doing kumihino (Japanese braiding). In my spare time, I am president of a local historical society.
