Hi, California friend. Yes the power has stayed on, and sure hope it stays on. The board of directors for the independent power business here in Texas are the ones who are elected by the governor. are the ones who gave the orders to shut down power to many places in Texas. Yes they should have know what the temps were going to be, below freezing all those days. In fact that is why they turned them off, so some places could have power, they shut of power to others, knowing we would be freezing. The power company were told eleven years ago that they should be deciding about more power so this would not happen again. Oh no, more money to the higher ups, by not righting a condition that was becoming a problem with so many people coming to live in the state. I hear this is going to be looked into--and darn well
    should.
Now the problem is the emptied shelves in all the grocery stores, along with dairy cases--no milk scant cheese. Jim went for milk again today, nope not in the stores he visited. We will get through this too.
