I looked up Zipps online and it sounds like a great place to eat-one of those ma and pa restaurants you want to see make it. I know what you mean about jobs that don't require much driving for the parents. I remember having to pick up two of my kids who worked in restaurants and had to be picked up around midnight-of course they didn't get off at the same time and turned into crazy nights during the summer.
I think choir and band classes are not easy and the credits earned are hard earned ones.
I hope the boys have a great summer-any secondary school plans for Matthew? There are so many options for kids now a days.

    Hello!
Your friend AMUSICALLIFE sent me to you when I asked her advice about piano lessons. My almost 12 yr old granddaughter took lessons for 2 years and then refused to go.
She seemed to enjoy playing (not practicing, of course) but recitals made her too anxious (def. anxiety issues) and when her teacher gave her a hard time for not practicing (her job! I told Lucy) she felt like she was being yelled at.
Any suggestions for what we can do?
She is in a musical family, mother and other grandmother play, they have a piano in the house and they bought her a decent keyboard for her room.
Maybe a new teacher with no recitals???

I should have played piano. I would have made a decent living being a musician. Instead I am a pampered house wife with a few oboe students. Grass is always greener
