Awesome Possum!Today's reward for reaching my exercise goal - I get to work a jigsaw puzzle!Played traunt from everything and worked a jigsaw puzzle all day! Here's some wombats.Kinda dreary outside, but I'm not going to let it get to me. There's plenty of sunshine inside me!Made a trip to a local mercado and got lots of snack-size fruit at great prices. Spending the day working a jigsaw puzzle to help center myself. Enjoy a great day everyone! Here's some capybara!Still hoping to lose 5 lbs by the first of March so I'll be under 200 pounds. I can do this.
Here's a bird sharing someone else's snack.Lost another pound! Today is going to be all about renewing my commitment to proper diet, exercise, rest, and mindfulness. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!Moving a bit slow today. Want to spend the whole day working my jigsaw puzzle, but my brain keeps nudging me to get my exercise done. Here I go!Such a great start for my day! I have gone from 40 inch waist to a 36, and I've lost another pound and a half. Watch me go!
Here's an awesome possum for you.Down to 200 pounds! Hit my goal. Now I have to come up with new goals. So happy!Good morning, Sparklers! I set new goals today. Of course the number one goal is to maintain the accomplishments I've made. Now, it's time to make my grocery list so I stay on target!Hey, Sparklers! On my way to the Doctor for a check up. I have a sneaking suspicion that, even though I've lost 10 to 15 pounds since my last visit, he'll just say, "lose weight" with a dour face.Went off long acting insulin last night after discussing it with doctor. Morning reading was excellent, but after breakfast reading was 161 on left hand and 123 on right. Average is a bit high.Raining buckets today. Just gonna stay in and work on my latest jigsaw puzzle, ride my exercise bike, and avoid cleaning house. Second day without overnight insulin, and my blood glucose is perfect!Another rainy day, so I feel justified working on my jigsaw puzzle. However, I am definitely making a schedule for household chores. I hate spending hours/days "getting caught up".Starting daily chores today as part of my healthful life-style. No more procrastination.Continuing my daily chore list as part of my healthful lifestyle. Will finish my jigsaw puzzle and post to jigsaw junkies on Facebook. Hope they like it!Going to walk to Half-Price Books, which should be about 4 miles round trip. My reward will be a new jigsaw puzzle that I saw there a few days ago. Shouldn't spend money, but what the heck!Gonna sit on my butt and finish my jigsaw puzzle today.I can finally see my...ahem...feet...without moving my belly put of the way! Yay! Feeling svelt!
Here's a snail for you.Starting the new sparkpeople week with a new jigsaw puzzle! Gonna be hard! To earn puzzle time, I have to ride my exercise bike. This is my exercise bicycle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I must learn to love it.
I hate it.So, I have, in fact, dropped another pound. Which makes my total over 32 pounds since November. The bad news is that my skin has not kept pace, and parts of me now resemble a Shar-Pei. Bleah!
Here's a bear being fancy.Rode my exercise bicycle so I earned my puzzle time. Did not make much progress though.Posted a photoIt's definitely nap time! Finally dropped below 200 pounds! 197.7 to be exact. My doctor says I should weigh 180, but I'm shooting for 160. Yay, me!Refrigerator died during the night. Now I'll be forced to clean it out. I may find a lost civilization in there. If I disappear, someone please log 30 minutes of heavy house cleaning in exercise for me!Running on low energy today. Feel like I'm moving through water. Guess I'll drink 8 cups of it so I can get my spark points. Exhausted squirrel is my spirit animal today. If you're feeling overwhelmed or adrift, reach out for a lifeline.Starting a new jigsaw puzzle! 1000 pieces "Match Books". Gonna be fun!Yay! The day is almost over, and tomorrow is St. Patrick's day.
Éirinn go BráchHappy St. Patrick's Day!
Éirinn go Brách!Awesome day today! Lots of compliments on my St. Patrick's Day ensemble! Lol. Best part was that my favorite, black, Levi jeans fit again after 15 years!Lazing around the house on the last day of the Sparkpeople week. Gotta get back to exercising starting tomorrow. Long story - check out my blog.
Here's a lazy mouse for you!Lazing around the house on the last day of the Sparkpeople week. Gotta get back to exercising starting tomorrow. Long story - check out my blog.
Here's a yawning pika. How I feel eating a salad without dressing. How I feel eating a salad without dressing.Just finished my jigsaw puzzle!Getting ready to get back on the exercise bicycle. My passion for it is definitely waning. Can't let that happen.Gotta convince Exercise Bicycle to give "us" another chance. If we don't reconnect soon, I'll probably give up and ask Exercise Bicycle to move out.
Here are some acrobatic hamsters.I didn't bathe, brush my teeth, or wear clean clothes. I just put on The Eurythmics and Exercise Bicycle took me back like I'd never left. Thank goodness for no awkward "I'm sorry".
Here's a clue to what I was doing on Exercise Bicycle ...Another 1.8 pounds gone this past week! That means only 16 more pounds to go and I will be where my doctor would like me to be.
Here's a glass-wing butterfly for you!Made it back to Exercise Bicycle. How do I make exercise a habit? How do I make exercise a passion?
Here's a fabulous fox.Now that Exercise Bicycle has taken me back, I feel I have to keep losing weight so Exercise Bicycle will feel needed. What a pickle. I mean, I "like" Exercise Bicycle, but doubt I will ever "love" Exercise Bicycle. I kinda feel like I'm just using Exercise Bicycle. Does that make me a bad person? I wonder.
Here's a humming bird for you. There is a rogue apple hiding in my refrigerator. It's on the top shelf; all my apples are on the bottom shelf. Are they dangerous when they go rogue? My spark profile does not show any statistics. Help. Please. #coachYesterday, I discovered a rogue apple, lurking on the top shelf in my refrigerator. Today, there's a rogue orange as well! I don't know how they got out of the crisper. I'm afraid they're plotting against the mandarins.Exercise Bicycle and I are back together, but I'm still just going through the motions. I'm sure Exercise Bicycle can tell. There's just no passion. How do you kindle passion? We have a date at 11. Perhaps some different music, a fluffier towel, a new water bottle, or some stickers for Exercise Bicycle will help. I've got to nourish this relationship before it dies.
Here's a porcupine for you.Started a new jigsaw puzzle. So, I have to be mindful of my time. Otherwise, I'll work on the puzzle all day and forget to do my chores and exercise. Wouldn't want THAT to happen.I think the rogue apple ate the rogue orange!Sitting on a cushion to ease my aching butt! Exercise Bicycle's seat has become almost intolerable now that I've lost my padding.
Here's a blue jay.My butt hurts. Now that I'm significantly smaller, every chair I sit in seems to have been designed by the Marquis de Sade. The exercise bicycle seat is the worst! I may be forced to carry a pillow with me everywhere I go. I hate to say it, but I miss my extra padding.
Here's some sunflowers with a butterfly. What song kicks your workout into overdrive?Posted a photoAnother 2 pounds lighter! So pleased with my progress, and proud of myself for sticking with it. SparkPeople and the wonderful support has really been a major part of my success. Only 13 pounds away from my second goal!

Here's a lovely squirrel for youMade it through dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse (all you can eat) with out overeating! I ate everything i wanted, but stopped when I was no longer hungry. I felt like I could do this, but it's nice to KNOW that I can!
Here's some little bandits to steal your heart!Used 3M Command Hooks to create a wall-mount for my iPad! Now I can control my tunes with ease, thanks to Siri!Gained 1.5 pounds so there's only one thing to do...go shopping for more! Gotta restock the pantry. A friend and I are making a pilgrimage to Whole Foods, to see how the other half lives!Such a dreary, rainy day today. Thank goodness SparkPeople shine so brightly and always lifting my spirit! Thank you, everyone. You keep me chugging along.
Here's some cuties, reminding us to stay hydrated!Posted a photoSitting at La Madeleine, playing cards and drinking iced tea!Wonderful day hanging with friends and playing cards at La Madeleine. Not even tempted by treats!I don't trust people who chew a single piece of gum. That's gotta be just for show. It's so tiny. It's like chewing a single pea. I need two or three just to make it worth my time.My trip to the mercado was postponed. We ate going tomorrow. They have the best and cheapest produce. Just love shopping there!I am still testing the limits of my newly-found super-powers. My friends and I spent a couple of hours at La Madeleine yesterday, and my super-powers made it easy for me to turn down every temptation. AMAZING!
Here's a couple of cuties for you!Ugh! I hate being at a plateau. The waiting is SOOO boring. Have to keep reminding myself to relax and maintain. In the meantime, I'll distract myself with cute animals. Here's some parrots.Today is mercado day! We go to the Latin American market to get really great fruit and veg. They have the best oranges, pears, and apples - all just the right size for snacking. Love me some snacksOkay. I am dealing with all the changes to the mobile app just fine. Except for one. Please put the "day" arrows back on the food log. The arrows are much more convenient. I've even included a picture of where to put them. Please! #techsupport #helpIt's been one week since I got stuck on this plateau. I have to make a decision: wait for rescue or cut off a limb to restart my weight loss. I'm afraid if I cut something off, I'll just eat it. What to do, what to do, what to do.
Oh, look - birds...in hats!Made it to the Latin American mercado and loaded up on fresh veg and fruit. Navel oranges only $1 for 6. Just yummy and the perfect size for breakfast or a snack!Posted a photoReady to start the day! Showered, shaved, dressed, and feeling fab!
Wish I looked as fab as this fellow, checking out a sunflower!Weather about to turn ugly. Think I'll have a quick nap and then meet up with Exercise Bicycle for a quick one. Here's some flowers.Posted a photoBeware diet saboteurs!Totally had a "cheat" dinner, and I have no regrets! Suck it, haters! I had a huge salad with at least two ounces of shredded cheddar, three to four servings of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, and topped it off with a big, whole-wheat bun with butter! Easily 1,200 calories. Don't care...had bread!
Here's a raccoon as fat as I feel.Finished the hardest jigsaw puzzle i think I have ever done. "Peacock" by Erika Pochybova is 1000 pieces of dots, dots, and more dots. Challenging but beautiful.Today is shopping at Sam's club! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be eating oatmeal every day, let alone buying oatmeal ten pounds at a time! At some point, I'll switch over to the steel-cut oats. They come in a 35 pound bag. Quite a commitment!
Here's some snails. After a meal, how long should you wait before exercising? My exercise record is off. Sunday says I have 145 minutes for the week, but I didn't even exercise that day. Since the week starts on Sunday, my weekly total should be 0, right?Learn from past mistakes, then let them go.The most terrible thing happened last night: I got locked out of my phone! It wouldn't recognize my fingerprints, and it kept increasing the time period before I could try again. I thought I was going to have to do a complete reset and lose everything on my phone. Luckily, I was just dehydrated from exercising, and once my fingers plumped back up, my phone let me in...after waiting over two hours!Backing up my phone today after not being able to get it to recognize my fingerprints for over two hours. Don't lose your data, backup everything today!I don't believe it. It's unthinkable. I'm actually going to hook-up with Exercise Bicycle instead of taking a nap. What has happened to my priorities!?
Here's a surfing duck.Really not sure how to handle this extra energy I have after exercise. It's amazing how energized I feel just 15 to 20 minutes after my workout...and the energy lasts!
Here's a baby tapir sticking its tongue out.Trying to read articles today was a mine-field! Kept being hijacked by some bogus gift card award. Happened 3 times! Finished the day with dinner at another restaurant. Choosing food was easy; keeping track of my hunger was more difficult. All the merriment of a birthday dinner was distracting, but I did manage to stop eating when I felt full. Left about half of my taco salad on my plate.
On a different subject, I think there's something wrong with this cat I found.Still playing catch-up from last night's bout of Restless Legs. My right leg behaved abominably last night. Everyone else was horrified. We may not invite him back tonight.

Wish me luck! After speaking with my doctor, I will be increasing Gabapentin and adding magnesium oxide to combat Restless Limb Syndrome. Unfortunately, RLS is often rooted in a deficiency of iron, in my case, ferritin. Consequently, I will have to have an endoscopy AND a colonoscopy. Then I will receive an iron infusion intravenously.
My thanks my friends who share my pain and recommended Gabapentin and magnesium oxide.
