Jessica Simpson is fat!...?

OK…it’s been a while since Miss Jessica wore the infamous “mom jeans” to a concert/chili cookoff in Pembroke Pines, FL sporting a curvier figure. It‘s been a little over a year in fact, but the incident still resonates with me. I find it personally offensive that someone with such an amazing body is belittled for looking normal. Heck, by the average standard, Jessica was smaller at that time than any average American gal. I don‘t suppose we‘ll ever be able to accept people as they are, but it doesn’t bode well for us when we lay such an unmerited label on such a lovely young lady. I don’t know anyone personally who wouldn’t give their left pinkie toe to look like Miss Simpson….myself included. I want to lose weight, I want to be healthy, but I honestly believe that some curves are to be celebrated! Marilyn Monroe didn’t have a bony butt! At this rate our future civilizations will worship the walking skeletons of society. One really great Spark People article I read recently suggested that in order to build our sense of personal appreciation that we imagine a society where the overweight are the celebrated….the “pretty people” of society. How would you feel about yourself then? And, although that’s nice, we shouldn’t allow society to determine who is beautiful. There is beauty in all of us, whether we wear a size 2 or a size 32…and THAT should be what is sought after, what is celebrated. So….tell me true….. How would YOU like to have this body?:
