Reflecting on 2011 and BLC15

Friday, March 25, 2011

Part of this weekend's BLC15 challenge is to reflect - we can choose for ourselves WHAT to reflect on. This is an easy one for me because I've been doing just that for the past couple of days - reflecting on how very blessed my husband Phil and I are. We are retired, HEALTHY, full of energy and JOY, and basically we love our lives!

We live very simply - neither of us is particularly materialistic so 'things' aren't too important to us. We were talking about it yesterday - we are planning a road trip in May and Phil said jokingly to me that if the price of gas keeps going up we may need to cancel it. My response was that if that happened I'd be perfectly fine with it because I LOVE my life - going walking, spending time with our grandsons and my friends (both in person and online) - just LIVING life!!

I am so SATISFIED with my life - just doing what I do every day makes me happy! God is so good - I am so grateful! More tomorrow on the positive changes that have taken place in my life during the last 12 weeks of BLC15 - today I just felt like reflecting on how good life is. Remember the song "I'm the Happiest Girl in the Whole USA"? That song has been running through my head for the past few days - because I TRULY feel like that!! What more could I possibly ask for?

We have so much in common. I feel the same way. I am not at all materialistic and I manage to be happy with my flowers, my butterflies, my running and my sweetie. Thank you for commenting on my blog. I enjoyed reading yours very much.
