Is there an easy way to lose weight and fitness

Most of us who are on the weight loss journey tend to look for the easiest and quickest way to achieve the desired results. When it comes to staying fit and losing weight does any short cut exists?

When I asked google “easy weight loss Plan” it showed me 256,000,000 results 0 .26 seconds flat, so there is an easy way after all. Unfortunately, it was more of a case of quantity than quality.

But really I also would like to know the answer if there is any such safe way, where you can lose weight and get fit without exercise and healthy diet. If you ask me I would say NO. There are so many infomercials or advertisements which try to make you believe, that you can lose weight just by popping a pill or strapping on some belt while watching TV or any other such gadget. But don’t they all sound like a quick get rich scheme.

But what happens when you take such shortcuts? You may lose weight. If I can lose weight by following a shortcut, than why should I take a road which may take longer and involves more exercise and eating a healthy nutritious diet? I am sure that people know which way to go, but aren’t we all are slaves of convenience and want to lose weight very fast. Even we know that shortcuts wont work for long times we want to give them a try, may be because we want quick results and long road doesn’t offer such dramatic results.

May be making lifestyle change and getting the result is very slow, there are no dramatic results but just small day to day change that add up over a period of time to better and healthier life.

    I think we all want to 'have our cake and eat it, too' - or to put it in weight loss terminology, we want to get our dream bodies without making any changes. Sort of like all those fairy tales we heard when we were little kids - most of us here on SparkPeople eventually grow up and figure out that we really do 'get what we pay for' and take responsibility for our health instead of just 'weight loss' - after all, we could all 'lose weight' by having our legs cut off if the numbers on the scale were all that mattered - but obviously that's not the kind of weight loss we're looking for!

    Unfortunately, a lot of the 'lose weight quick' schemes are just as unhealthy as cutting off our legs because they can cause long term or permanent health damage to our hearts, muscles and brains - that simply isn't the type of 'weight loss' I have in mind, and healthy weight loss isn't an overnight gimmick but we can all have it if we work for it!

    There are lots of easy crash diets to lose weight fast, but I'm sitting here with metabolism damage as a result. So NO, there aren't!

    LOL let's put it this way - I'm 63 years old and I've been looking for 'easy weight loss' for at least 40 of those years. I've tried just about everything out there and (for me at least) haven't found it. Eating a healthy, balanced diet while getting lots of exercise if the best plan I've found!!
