Still time to make goal.....

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

When the goal is close enough to feel, I blow it. I changed my profile pic today and saw that last Nov. I weighed what I weigh today. WTF? So once again, I will try to surrender my mind to what I know is right for me. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to be at goal this November. The ONLY person holding me back is me. I don't "need" anyone else. To walk and talk, to encourage, to do anything. If I need that, I will always have an excuse. This is MY goal so it's MY responsibility to get me there.

10 pounds - requires 1.5 pounds a week to reach goal November 13. This is the beginning of what I hope is the end of hitting 137 and holding.

I see my SP friends (M3M, Sharon) plugging away week after week in spite of all that gets thrown in their paths. Thank you ladies for being a shining example of what can be accomplished! You are both amazing.

Sharon says it true my dear Heather... It's not accepting defeat. It's not giving up and throwing the towel in when you think you've done all you can. It's examining what didn't work for you and trying to find what DOES. It's being proud of how far you've come - regardless of whether or not that is reflected on the scale.... because the most important place it should be reflecting from is your heart and your mind. You cannot find encouragement in anyone else but yourself. It may seem silly to other people, but I do go online and search around for motivating comments, esp. self-motivating comments to keep that burning desire inside me well fueled. And also, examining my progress. It is true that you cannot change if you keep doing the same thing over and over again. So examine your previous path and start a new one. You have this determination within to find the success you desire. DO IT.

Heather, I overslept until 11 this morning for the first time in almost 40 years. I am committed to losing that 1.5 pounds a week until November 13 with you! Your phone WILL be ringing most Wed and Fri mornings for that walk. Now, other than that, we all need to be committed to do this for US not for anyone else. At the same time, we DO need one another. I need you and all the rest of the team to keep me from falling into apathy. Some days, I do this for YOU all, and some days I do it for ME. Either way, we do it. Just do it. One stinkin' pound at a time, like Michelle said. I am also at the same weight this year as last, but guess what? We are not overweight anymore. Let's rejoice in the good things and let the negative things slip off our memory plates. I love you girl. WE ALL can do this! So let's do it!

Heather, Please, DO NOT beat yourself up! Like the others have said, you've accomplished so MUCH! You are not letting yourself go when life events get in the way. You deal with those times, then get right back on track. That is what we have to do along this journey. These detours are to help us grow and learn. Yes, you have to do it for yourself, but you are not by yourself. We are here to cheer you along and give you support when you need it! Love ya! emoticon emoticon emoticon

You'll do it and successfully - just think about all you've achieved - stayed the same, not gained it all back... that's some result on its own!!!

Heather I agree with Michele and once you set your mind to it you can do it. Me and mama just don't give up and if I go off plan and gain weight I just get right back on it again and for two weeks my weight stayed the same and I was getting frustrate but I didn't give up and figure sooner or later this weight will start moving again. Don't give up and you will get to your goal, I know you will. hugs.
