December Goals

Sunday, December 04, 2011

This past week I joined the Spark Team 'Fit and Pregnant', but have done anything but be what that title implies. These past few weeks I have craved terrible foods, and gave into those cravings. Feeling terrible after giving into said cravings hasn't even been deterring me from doing it again and again. Sigh.

I have been getting the majority of my workouts in, but the intensity has been lacking. I did however run a 5-mile race with my mom this afternoon. While the pace was slow, I only walked at the two water stops.

Anyway, my goal for December is to be FIT and pregnant. To reach that go I hope to take the following steps:

1. NOT give into all of my cravings. I know some will be unavoidable, but I must exhibit some self control.

2. Freggies! Unless French fries are considered a freggies, I haven't been getting my share. My goal is going to be at least 4 servings every day.

3. I may be setting myself up for failure with the onset of winter, but I need to keep my mileage up. Pregnant or not, I am still registered for the Disney Princess HM in February. Whether I walk it or run it, I still need to rack up some miles in preparation. I am going to aim for 15 miles a week, walking, running and/or elliptical

And finally,

4. Yoga, because as I have said before, it makes me happy. I am going to aim for twice a week, at least 30 minutes.

Good luck me!

I know you can keep going, good luck with the training! Are you doing the Jingle Bell run on Sunday? That one's fun and there's a lot of walkers, dogs, kids, and other entertainment. A bunch of us are going to Barney's after if you are interested.

The last 2 years the weather has been crappy, but this Sunday is supposed to be sunny, yay!

PS, I started taking BodyFlow at the gym, some yoga, some tai chi - I really stink at it but I'm already getting better after only a few classes, I think it will really help the running. Go yoga!!

You can do it! I craved McDonald's cheeseburgers when I was pregnant with my second. And of course, I didn't just eat one. Hang in there.

I had some terrible cravings with both my girls. It's funny too about things that bothered me, my girls can't eat still. My huge craving with my oldest was apple juice. She hated apple juice until recently. My youngest I couldnt stand pasta sauce or tomatoes while I was pregnant with her & when she eats them or they touch her skin she gets red rashes on her. Weird.

Your body is working to nourish two of you - eat those cravings just in moderation. If possible. LOL.
