The question for the day today.
Am I afraid of going slowly. The answer is yes! My whole life I have never been one for waiting for anything. Even my Mom used to tell the story how I was in a hurry to be born and was like that ever since.

In the path of weight loss, I have never done anything slow. I'm the type of person that needs to drop the 5 - 10 punds a week. I have done this in the past.. It doesn't work or I would not keep having to do it over and over again.

Even when I was in the Biggest Losers bootcamp on line.. I ate right, a little less then I was told to eat and worked out most of my free time.
I did great.. down 40 pounds fast.. but what the expert told me would happen did. I burn out.. No one can live like that.. I had no life.. I there comes the time you don't lose the 10 pounds and what happens then? What happens when you can't work out every day 3 or more hours of it? What happens when you want to have a life back?

You go right back to the way you were before you started. It starts with the standing still then goes to the weight gain. The weight does come back a whole lot faster then it comes off. The sad part about all of this, once you start putting it back on you tend to give up..

So this quote is really right on. No one should be afraid of losing only 2 pounds a week, even one pound is a loss and I should be proud of that.
I need to worry and be afraid when I stand still for too long which will lead me to gaining again. At this size, I don't feel I should be standing still at all.

Once I can learn to apply this to my weight, I think this will be a idea I need to apply to the rest of my life.

    It's amazing how we "know" what to do but still have our own agenda..right or wrong. You are truly an amazing person and the fact that you have done this before does prove that the ability and inspiration are inside of you to do it again.
    Who has patience with watching the scale move...no one! We all want that waking up to a thinner body to be immediate. So much work and so slow to see the visual results.
    We all have to learn to slow down, savor the changes, appreciate that the slower we lose, the chances of gaining it back become less. I think that the most important thing we do is realize we are in control of how we eat, how we live and how we react. Losing weight is not easy but the results are so worth the patience we have to learn to get there.
    No doubt in my mind that you are learning the patience, and will persevere. I expect you will be meeting your goal...steady but surely. It's just no other way with you wanting it so badly.
