7 years without mama

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of mama going home. I am so thankful for my loving hubby who has keep me busy so that I am not sitting around thinking about this. Also, daddy has now gone to be with mama and Jesus this past May. Tomorrow is our 44th anniversary and 7 yrs since we buried mama. Again, another busy day as dh has to go to last back dr appt (I hope) and we will do some more shopping for our bedroom as we have been working on painting, ceiling and walls (almost done) and next is the trim, then new floor, new baseboards, and other stuff. Already have new furniture but right now it is in the living room. lol Another good thing is dear son (only son) is coming for the weekend. He just doesn't realize what he will be getting into when we put him to work, work, work. lol

Now I must get busy and not dwell on yesterday but on the future.

{{{{hugs}}}} and emoticon . I have missed my father for so many years and each year it is tough on the anniversary, and his birthday, those days I make a contribution to the AHA in his honor as a gift to him.

emoticon my friend! I know how hard it is to lose a mom. Mine passed away when I was 22, 32 years ago this November. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of her or wish she was here. The best thing is to stay busy and to always remember the good times you had together. emoticon

emoticon on all the painting and fixing up. DH and I will be into the same very soon. Can't wait!

Have a great time with your son this weekend too!

All of us older ones have the same story. I did get to keep my mom for over 70 years though as I was the first born and she lived to be 99 1/2.
God bless you and thank God for a good husband. My good husband has already gone to be with Jesus also.

Please tell me how you got through it. My mom is dying of liver cancer. Although the worse has not come yet but it is stating. Three days in the hospital and the day she is to leave her fever shot back up. She is home but she is always tired. I am her daughter and I have a brother. I am the nurse so I take care of her all day and he takes over at night since I have a family. But I am still having a hard time dealing with the fact she will be gone soon.

Oh, my dear friend, THINK how happy mama and daddy are...they would NOT come back to this messed up world if we could get them here. When I think of my dad there with Jesus, I always think if I could call him on the phone, he'd hang up on me because he's so busy having fun up there! Our day will come too!
Thankful that your son is coming to help dh...and since dh seems to be doing so well... please ask him if he would like to travel to MI and bring you so we could visit and he can teach my dh and me how to replace our trim through the house! LOL Have a GREAT night and a great day tomorrow ~~HUGS~~

emoticon Staying busy is the best thing. I lost my dad when he was 56 and mom in 2008 just before Christmas. Some days can be rougher than others I know.
