Good Bye to my Morton's Neuroma
Monday, December 23, 2013
On Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 I had surgery for the Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. I had thought against surgery since the pain was intermittent and I was under the impression that surgery could leave constant numbness. BUT, at my physical, my doctor showed me her scars (one on each foot) and recommended that I have the surgery. Turns out my surgeon had the surgery done as well and his only regret was not having it done sooner. As this year comes to an end, I'm happy to know that I will NOT be entering 2014 with the same aches and pains of 2013. I'm looking forward to being an active SparkPeople member and have committed to swimming and yoga in the New Year. I love to walk (and have purchased a SparkTracker) and the addition of two new activities will be motivating. Plus, a committment to a healthier diet is also in the forecast. Happy holidays and may a healthy diet and lifestyle lead us the way in 2014.
