Motivational slip up

I wasn't able to complete the Seattle Quadzuki last year (4 half marathons in 4 days), but I still ended up with the sweatshirt.

Since I plan on signing up again this year, I decided to hang the sweatshirt up as a reminder to get off my butt. Thankfully there isn't a date on it, so once I earn it I can wear it.

I hung the dark green sweatshirt up on a light colored wall. Thinking that would make it stand out more.

Soooooo...last night at about 2am I woke up to thinking there was someone standing in the corner of our room. Scared the crap out of myself and took awhile for me to go back to sleep.

I need figure out how to rig it so that I wake up to that when I need to get up and work out.

Meanwhile, coffee is my friend this morning.

    Hahaha. That sounds like something I'd do - scare myself in the middle of the night! That is quite the challenge - very impressive goal!

    This so sounds like things that happen to me when I wake up in the middle of the night... or practically anytime since I live in a basement apartment so its dark most of the time. emoticon What about hanging it outside your bedroom?

    Wow. That sounds like something I would do. (I have a very active imagination and an atavistic fear of the dark. Makes my evening commutes *interesting*.)

    oh goodness that would startle me too in the middle of the night! maybe put a picture of it on your phone? I put motivational quotes on mine so that I always subconsciouly read it while I am on my phone :)
